Sandeep is Chief Executive Officer of Clearwater. Previously, Sandeep was President and CEO of Headstrong, a leading solutions and managed services provider to leading financial institutions around the world. At the conclusion of his tenure as CEO at Headstrong, the company had approximately 10,000 employees and 17 offices with development centers across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Before Headstrong, he was a founder and partner of the consulting firm TechSpan, CEO of Virginia-based SkanSoft, and served for 10 years with the HCL group, one of the largest technology solutions providers in the world. Prior to joining Clearwater, Sandeep was Chairman of AIM Software in Austria, on the Board of Simeio solutions, and an Operating Partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). 

Sandeep holds an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; an Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi; and graduated from The Doon School, Dehradun.

Warren is responsible for all technical aspects of Clearwater’s operations and services. Previously, Warren was General Manager in the AWS Machine Learning Group at Amazon, where he launched several public services. Before that he served as the General Manager for Business AI at Microsoft where he brought many machine learning technologies to market. For five years Warren was CTO for SMART Technologies, where his teams received 16 awards for a series of products they created. Before 2012, he held several positions at Microsoft and was instrumental in the development of wireless networking in Windows, Microsoft Skype for Business, and numerous broadly used media technologies. At Microsoft, he also played a central role in establishing WiFi as a worldwide standard and authored various key industry wireless specifications.

Warren is also active in the VC community and acts in an advisory role for various early stage startups. He holds over 60 worldwide patents in networking, wireless, communications, and machine learning.

Warren holds advanced degrees from the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia.

Cindy is responsible for leading the transformation program and roadmap to make Clearwater Analytics a global leader in FinTech.

Cindy has over 20 years of experience working in companies undergoing transformational change. She has diverse and hands-on experience across the areas used to achieve large scale change, including mergers and acquisitions, organization and operating model redesigns, culture and employee engagement, and major systems implementations. Cindy started her career with Deloitte Consulting and spent 10 years with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She has held senior leadership roles at CSC (now DXC Technology), Advantia Health, and Solera Holdings. She most recently founded Headpoint Consulting.
 
Cindy holds degrees from MIT Sloan School of Management and Miami University (Ohio) and spent two years at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Prior to Clearwater, Jim served as CFO of Glassdoor, where he oversaw the company’s preparation for initial public offering, and served as CFO at Lithium Technologies and Advent Software.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Ohio University.

Scott joined Clearwater in 2005 and has successfully served in a number of roles leading multiple Clearwater departments. This experience has given him a deep understanding of client needs and current market challenges. After starting as a Client Account Manager in 2005, he transitioned to lead the team as the Director of Client Services in 2008. Scott’s background solving client needs to enhance their overall experience led him to start the Product Management team in 2010. Scott served as the Director of both Client Services and Product Management starting in 2013, and achieved record sales numbers as Director of Global Sales during 2016 and into 2017. As Chief Operating Officer, Scott’s primary focus is ensuring that Clearwater’s operational infrastructure is continuously improving to support the success of Clearwater’s clients.

Scott holds an MBA from Northwest Nazarene University and graduated cum laude from Whitman College with a bachelor’s in Spanish literature.

As Chief Quality Officer James is responsible for driving quality throughout the organization through controls, automation, improved testing, and advanced reporting. James joined Clearwater Analytics in November 2004. Previous to his current role, he was Chief Technology Officer and Director of Product Development, and brings more than 21 years of experience in software engineering. James has a passion for everything data-related, trouble-shooting difficult problems, and teaching/training new staff on Clearwater’s technology and domain. James previously worked at Hewlett Packard and CQG Inc. as a developer and lead architect.

James graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in computer science from Utah State University.

She started her career in consulting with Accenture in Australia and has built and scaled businesses across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the US.

Subi has over 22 years’ experience across multiple industries including service (IT/ITES), healthcare, BFSI and manufacturing. Before joining Clearwater, Subi led the end-to-end operations at UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Global Solutions. Prior to joining Optum Global Solutions, she worked with Genpact across varied leadership positions in functions like Operations, Quality, Transitions, and Technology. Subi also has direct expertise with technology platforms and the intelligent automation space including robotic process automation, visualization, machine learning, and AI applied to various business functions.

Subi has an Advanced Management degree from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and is a graduate in mathematics from Delhi University.

Josh leads Clearwater’s software development initiatives and the execution of the Clearwater product roadmap. Josh has been an Operating Partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) since 2011 where he has helped portfolio companies like Clearwater to identify and implement initiatives focused on growth and operational improvement.

Prior to joining WCAS, Josh was most recently an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for seven years. In addition to McKinsey & Company, he worked at Procter & Gamble as an operations manager.

Josh holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. from Cornell University.

Alphonse Valbrune started his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, a leading law firm, where he specialized in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions and worked on initial public offerings and public stock and debt issuances totaling over $2 billion. Following his time at Skadden, Alphonse served as the Deputy General Counsel, then General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, of Headstrong Corporation, a global IT services company, where he was an integral part of Headstrong's executive leadership management team. Following the acquisition of Headstrong by Genpact, a global publicly held professional services firm, Alphonse has held several roles, most recently leading an international group of attorneys responsible for the commercial transactions of Genpact’s Banking and Capital Markets vertical, representing over $1 billion in revenue.

Alphonse holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law.

Lee previously led distribution and related execution teams at some of the world’s most successful investment management firms, including BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, and PIMCO, where he also served on various executive, operating, and global investment committees. 

Before becoming an executive leader, Lee was an institutional and middle market account manager for Federated and PIMCO, covering Fortune 1000 companies, governmental entities, and separate account relationships. Lee began his career as a university coach and assistant professor. 

Lee earned an MA in Foreign Literature and Languages from the University at Albany, an MBA in Finance from Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver, and was a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado.

Before joining Clearwater, Kenneth oversaw Oppenheimer Funds’ data management organization and led TPG Capital’s data architecture and business analytics team. Prior to that he held roles at UBS Wealth Management, overseeing advisor and wealth planning technology, and served as MF Global’s first Chief Data Officer.

Kenneth holds a BS in Computer Science from William Paterson University.

Steve (CPA, CFA, CPCU) has extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance asset management, and general asset management to Clearwater and its clients. He works closely with platform development teams, clients, and other industry influencers to evolve both the Clearwater system offering and the user experience of Clearwater’s clientele.

Steve is the founder of DCS Financial Consulting, where he advises asset managers and insurers on various financial and strategic matters. He is a Managing Partner of Insurance AUM Journal, the leading industry journal of insurance asset management. Steve is affiliated with IZALE Financial Group, where he works with insurers to optimize capital, tax, and accounting efficiency on specialty investments.

Previously, Steve worked for more than 20 years as a leader in Deutsche Asset Management’s insurance asset management group. He helped grow the business from $20 billion to more than $200 billion in AUM, including expansion into global markets.

Rob Hensley, CFA, is an insurance industry expert and practitioner. A former Clearwater client, Rob oversaw the elimination of more than 20 legacy software systems as part of Unum Group’s Clearwater implementation. At that time, he was head of asset/liability management and investment strategy for Unum’s $45 billion US and UK portfolios. During his more than 20-year career at Unum, he was also head of Unum’s pension committee, portfolio manager for the derivatives portfolio, analyst for high-yield and investment-grade bonds, and trader for the high-yield bond portfolio.  

Before joining Unum, Rob served for 10 years as a US Air Force intelligence officer where he was a graduate of the Air Force Weapons School. Rob is a CFA charter holder and holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the US Air Force Academy.

Prior to joining Clearwater, Chris was Head of Insurance Solutions UK for AXA Investment Managers. Before that, he spent nine years focused on insurance asset management for Deutsche Asset Management. Chris also spent 20 years in senior finance positions within the insurance industry, including five years as Financial Controller at Brit Insurance Holdings, two years at Market Syndicate Management as Finance Director, and three years at St. Paul Syndicate Holdings as Group Finance Director. His career in finance began at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC).  

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics from the University of Exeter and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Prior to State Street, Alasdair worked in a variety of sales and relationship management roles at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust, and The WM Company. He started his career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in London. 

Alasdair has a joint honours degree in Economics & Finance from The University of Strathclyde.

Her vantage as an industry leader and influencer is exceptionally valuable to Clearwater as the company’s product, development, and client servicing groups identify and pursue the most critical solutions for investment teams worldwide. 

Lisa is also the governor-appointed Chairman of the Investment Board of Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System. She has set asset allocation, risk tolerance, and investment assumptions for the $35 billion public pension portfolio.

In executive leadership roles at PIMCO, Nomura, and Morgan Stanley, Drew helped set the vision for the role of innovative technology in daily operations to support trading, client servicing, and reporting.

Drew retired from PIMCO in 2017, where he was a Managing Director and CTO for five years. Before that, he was CIO for the Americas at Nomura America Holdings, and CIO for Institutional Securities at Morgan Stanley, where he spent 29 years as a technologist, trader, and manager in both business and technology roles.

Prior to joining Permira, Andrew worked for Pacific Equity Partners, an Australasian private equity firm, as an investment executive in Sydney and New York. Before that, he worked as an associate at Citi.

Cary J. Davis is based in New York, joined Warburg Pincus in 1994 and is responsible for Technology investments in the Software and Financial Technology sectors. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Davis was an Executive Assistant to Michael Dell at Dell Computer and a Consultant at McKinsey & Company. He is a Director of BitSight, Crowdstrike, Cyren, eSentire, Reorg Research and Varo Money. Mr. Davis is Chairman of the American Academy in Rome, a Director of the Andy Warhol Foundation and has been an adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Chairman of the Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst and Chairman of the Boys Prep Charter School. Mr. Davis received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
